# 5906 Cornet

The 5906 sold on e-bay in June 2008- "This beautiful vintage Missenharter Silver Cornet is being sold for parts. The instrument is actually in good cosmetic condition, with minimal wear.  It does have some significant damage however, with a pierced and damaged inner-tubing on the first valve (caused by someone trying to free the valve with a nail or sharp object), and other visible flaws.  I had kept it for the better part of a year with the intention of restoring it - I had a very nice Slater Eb 'The Gem' with a similar problem, and my technician rebuilt the valve beautifully -  but I will pass it along to the next appreciateur."
